I am very interested in the subsidized emigration of 66 people in a group
from Corsley, Wiltshire in 1830. It seems that the group included Charles Prangley. There are references to this event in:
1) a contemporary pamphlet by G. Powlet Scrope on letters from emigrants
2) Maud Davies' book " Life in an English Village" (pub.1909)
3) Ryk Brown's database
4) Canadian Prangley web site
5) Corsley Prangley web site
My Taylor family lived in Corsley at the time and I want to find out if any of them came to Canada then. I would appreciate any help with, the name of the ship and palce and date of arrival and if it is possible to find a passenger list
Thanks |

Hi Mike
References 3, 4, and 5 above are really all the same. Since it's my database and both of those are my web pages, then they all share a common source...me.
I looked for the source of that quote and I've had it for quite some time and I cannot find the original notation. But I'm pretty sure that it came in personal correspondence from the late Tony Prangley from Wales. I don't think I ever asked him his source.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
