I was looking at this yesterday and I was really shocked.
Some guy posted a video on the internet talking about Franz Ferdinand song "Lucid Dreams" is a plagiarism of The Cure "This Twilight Garden".
I mean, I think Franz Ferdinand is influenced by The Cure, but you cannot say it's plagiarism. I don't really see the copy in both songs.

copy? no.
similarities? definitely.
i don't know about you, but i DO hear some similarities, so they're NOT totally different from each other. the bass is very similar, the drums a bit (they're.. ahhh, again another thing i can't explain) and a piece of melody, that means where they put them, too. but does that mean anything? no.
everyone copies everything from everyone. you just can't avoid this in about more than a thousand years of music.
